HIGH CHIEF IGBOKWE CELEBRATES GOLDEN JUBILEE

It was the celebration of qualified success as the family, friends and well wishers of the Royal High Chief Kingsley Chukwwnenye Igbokwe gathered first at Latter House, of The Redeem Christian Church of God, 170 Ago Palace way, Okota, Lagos. Igbokwe continually eulogises his church for the moral upbringing he realised from the church while carrying out his daily responsibilities in Lagos before his partial relocation to Abia state. It was on this ground that he

considered it appropriate to celebrate this life time achievement in Lagos and in the church. Immediately after the Church Thanksgiving Service, the jam packed reception took place later at Retta Hotel at the same area. Igbokwe has paid his dues and deserves the response he had on his 60th birthday and silver jubilee marriage anniversary. It could be realised that the venue of the event was filled to maximum. His friends and colleagues from Oil and Gas sector, a new area he found love and has invested

seruiously in the fast growing economy of Abia State were there. The highlight of the day is his great respect for Igbo tradition and Culture. This was demonstrated by the invitation of the Reverred Igbo Leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Badagry, His Highness, Eze Steve Etolue who performed the traditional breaking of Kola nuts. The event proveded for soul reflection as the celebrant emotionally remembered the goodness of the Lord to him

on the journey so far. He thanked everybody for finding time to celebrate him. 

WOMEN FELLOWSHIP MEETING ST. JOSEPH'S CHOSEN CHURCH OF GOD HELD AT OKOAFO

It was a full session as all the members of the women fellowship of St. Joseph's Chosen Church of God, Lagos Region gathered at Okoafo branch to rub minds in readiness to the forthcoming women convention. 

       

It could be noted that this year's women convention will take place at Ikwuano LGA, Abia State. The historic event will take place at the founder's home town. 

       

The meeting started a bit late owing to the early morning showers. It stated with an opening prayer by the resident pastor.

       

On the absence of the Secretary who came unavoidably late, the women president, Deaconess Okamgba declared the meeting open. Visions, revelations and dreams were revealed and interpreted. 

        The highlight of the day was the march-past rehearsal by the women from various branches of the church in the region. Their performance no doubt shows that the coveted trophy cannot elude the Region come July the date of the convention. 

       

At the end of the five hour confab, Okoafo branch, host of the meeting entertained the women and other guests to a sumptious meal. 

A REUNION WITH THE THREE MUSKETEERS; TURAKI, DANASABE AND NWANZE

At the handing over ceremony of the out going Customs Area Controller of Apapa command Comptroller Jaiyeoba to the incoming CAC Comptroller Olomu, these three heavy weights were discovered. The

9event which attracted critical stakeholders, the press and the Nigeria Customs Service was an event to behold. It should be noted that Apapa is the flagship of all the Customs commands in Nigeria and any activities taking place here is handled with utmost importance. 

As the auditorium was getting filled up by the officers and guests,  Deputy Comptrollers, Turaki, Danasabe and Nwanze came in and were seated at the reserved seats for their respective positions.

It could be noted that DC Nwanze is the DC Enforcement for the command. As soon as they were seated, many of the journalists and freight forwarders who enjoyed certain privileges from them in the past from Seme border where these officers showed great prominence approached them to exchange some banter. It was a fine reunion. This is ongoing as details of the day's event will be published later.
