Abia state cannot remain the same again as the right peg is in the right hole. The emergence of Dr. Alex Otti was overdue judging from when he had indicated interest to serve this God’s own state. His emergence was made possible by God’s providence.In 1999 when democracy was finally embraced by Nigerians, Dr. Orji Uzor-Kalu emerged as the governor of Abia state where high hopes were bestowed on him. He was seen as the messiah after a long time of neglect and marginalization by the military era. Dr. Uzor-kalu who seem to have come to serve the people considering his enormous wealth was offended by the famous “Isi gate newspaper free readers association” where all sorts of abuses were heaped on the young man.His informants were at every corner were not helping matters as they were feeding him with all sorts of 
gossips among which was that he had no school certificate and that even if he had, it was procured for him by somebody. All these led to a turnaround from the original intention of the man Senator Orji Uzor-Kalu.One Eke from Item was at one corner firing his salvo against the governor, his Deputy, Abaribe was at the same time not having it smoothly with him while the then President was also making life very unbearable to Dr. Uzor-Kalu. All these culminated into an unease in the administration of this young state.It is on this note that such actions raising their heads again in this present administration cannot be condoned by the good people of Abia State. The 24 years of Peoples’ Democratic Party in the state is nothing to write home about. Despite the long array of professionals and technocrats in the party which had already became a one party system in the state, it could be observed that too many cooks spoiled the brut.They are therefore

advised to be a critical opposition reminding the Labour Party governor of his 45 itemized points during his inaugural speech in the case that he is forgetting. One of such and which he has started on a good note is item 12 where he said; "My major responsibility will be to ensure that the citizens and residents of Abia State, who have finally been freed from their bondage, will continue to breathe freely, and go about their daily pursuit of good quality life. It will be my duty to bring them out of pitch darkness into the bright sunlight that they deserve. "It will be my duty to show them that there is more to life than the poverty, hunger, ignorance, disease, insecurity, and pot holes that, all these years, have become their daily realities. It will be my duty to continue to remind them that they are the offspring of those who once created the fastest growing economy in the world. It is my duty to let them realize that they were once the world’s largest makers of some key products on which the world’s economy depended. "It is my responsibility to let them know that their institutions of learning had in the past produced some of the greatest minds in the world of arts, science and technology, mathematics, banking and finance, politics, law, history and philosophy. It is my duty to

let them know that we have in us all the qualities that are necessary to recreate the glorious past that they dream about. It has been observed that what the opposition is looking at and praying for on a daily basis is to see that the present administration fails. Unfortunately for these detractors, the administration is waxing stronger because it had this on number 19 of that famous speech; "As we embark on this adventure today, we have two clear choices before us. We can, like Lot’s wife, choose to look back at our Sodom and seek to return to the allure of quick fixes, incompetence, and mediocrity. We can also, like Abraham, look forward to the Promised Land. Nevertheless, as we look forward, we must take along with us, the weak and the vulnerable in our society. "It is the extent to which we cater to their needs and actualize their potential that we will be able to build a great and prosperous society. The foundation of Abia State can only be strong, when Abia citizens in all the 17 local government areas of the state, who labour every day, partake in eating of the fruit of the land. Dr. Alex Otti cannot afford to fail the people. I have heard on many occasion even during the campaign that Dr. Otti was part of the financial woes of the past administration in Abia state. government to handle some of their financial frivolities and when it was not forthcoming, he placed stringent measures at least to recover many of such loans for the bank. That was his crime but today, he is blocking all financial leakages that were arising from ghost workers and so on. He is finally asking everybody to join the train as mention on item 45;
ON GOING ROADS REHABILITATION
"The time for the rebuilding process has begun. I have been given the task of being the driver of this train and it is leaving the station.
