ISIALA STAKEHOLDERS MEETING WITH IKWUANO LGA MAYOR

The stakeholders of Isiala Oboro, Isiama Autonomous Community were privileged to meet with the Executive Chairman of Ikwuano Local Government Area also known as "Mayor," Dr. Anthony Nwaubani. Leading the entourage was the President General PG, Comrade Ifeanyi Ndubuwa. The meeting started by 3:45pm with an opening prayer by Pastor Okey Iroegbu after which cola nuts presented was blessed by Chief Mkpa, the Traditional Prime Minister. The mayor immediately informed the stakeholders that the N2.8m request they made for an assistance on the repairs of their transformer has been granted by the state government. The transformer as we also know has been repaired and put in use but the move for assistance is to repay the much debts owed.  Accordingly in his response, the PG thanked the mayor and presented some of the outstanding needs of the community to him. On his contribution, Sir K U Nkume itemised the issues specifically and reminded the Mayor of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the LGA to the community in terms of payments of electricity bill collectively. The Traditional Prime minister threw his weight also to the issue at hand. Chief Ifeanyi Iroegbu went further by reminding the mayor of the need to create avenue for the town planning of the LGA Headquarters by creating roads, streets and avenues.
At this point the Mayor reminded the stakeholders that the migrants school for the community was given some financial grants to refurbish a place selected for the school.  On the issue of the electricity consumption and bills, he said it should be handled with seriousness so that crazy bills from EEDC will henceforth stop. He also suggested that the position of the transformer should be relocated for security reasons. On the issue of a health centre, he advised that the community should make it officially as a request for this so that he will push it forward.
The meeting was regarded as a qualified success as many unfounded rumours were claired and everybody left with happiness. With every indication, Dr. Nwaubani is not a politician but an administrator and a community leader. It was on this note that the Traditional Prime minister thanked him but reminded him of the need to pay a homage to the Traditional Ruler, HRH Eze Sunday Ezeri.
